2012 Mission to Grace & Mercy
Mark 4:20 “And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted”.
Grace & Mercy # 1 – 80 Children
We remember that dreaded feeling back in June of 2010 when it became so clear to us that God had closed the door for St. Paul’s mission trip to Grace & Mercy Churches. So many things were happening. God revealed the reason for the shut door when we heard about Moses visit to Pastor Chava a few months later. After hearing the story of his trip and the resulting decrease in the cost to purchase Grace & Mercy III, we were able to send the funds we had raised allowing Grace & Mercy III to be purchased without incurring any debt. What a blessing that was! We serve an Awesome God don’t we!
Grace & Mercy #2 – 40 Children
What a difference two years makes!
Grace & Mercy # 3 – 50 Children
We are delighted to report that during the past two years the seeds have continued to be planted as Grace & Mercy has grown to serve and minister to 220 children through four locations throughout Juarez. We can’t begin to tell you how exciting it was to see Grace & Mercy III for the first time. One of your missionaries screamed so loud from excitement she scared everyone. Seriously… Walking into Grace & Mercy III for the first time and knowing the part that you all had in purchasing it was so emotional that the excitement could not be contained. And.. Seeing Grace & Mercy IV was the icing on the cake.
Grace & Mercy IV – 50 Children
It has been so awesome to be given the privilege of sowing the seeds at Grace & Mercy with Pastor Chava and Pastora Betty. God provided an opportunity for us to see how the seeds that were planted continue to produce a harvest. Many that were with us as little children are now teenagers and are bringing their brothers and sisters.
This year, your mission team had an opportunity to bless the children at all four locations through six different VBS. We sang songs, danced with the children, performed drama skits, completed crafts, blessed the children and even had piñata’s to end the day’s events. Our servant project this year was to paint inside and outside at Grace & Mercy I.
But it doesn’t end there! This trip provides so much more than blessings to the children and a servant project. We go with the intent of blessing the children and people of Grace & Mercy but as our new team members found we end up being blessed so much more in return. We leave Juarez with our hearts changed and a family that has grown. It’s not blood that makes us family, it’s our love for one another. We can truly say that we Love our brothers and sisters at Grace & Mercy.
Thank you for the opportunity to represent St. Paul to the people of Juarez. This mission would not be possible without your prayers, encouragement and financial support. We look forward to each and every one of you joining us one day in the mission field. There will always be room for you!
Your 2012 Mission Team, Jesse and Cheryl Ramirez, Nichole Martin, Mercy Vosseler, Danielle and Breanna Wyant.
