Do you love to cook and serve a good home cooked meal to others?  Then we would love to have you join us at the Hope Diner and use your gift to serve those in need. Those we serve may be hungry or they just may be lonely but all of our guests are in need of a good home cooked meal, a friendly smile and good company.

St. Paul has joined forces with a few other churches in Sherwood to provide one meal each weekend to those in our community who are in need of a home-cooked meal. The weekly event is hosted by St. Francis Catholic Parish at their old hall.

St. Paul volunteers are needed about once every five weeks or nine times per year to help prepare and serve the meal, as they enjoy the company of their guests.  You may serve one time or many times, it’s up to you.

Please contact Donna Henley (503) 554-8749 or Cheryl Ramirez (503) 625-5217 if you would like to volunteer for this community outreach.

Please note the following:

A background check will be required the first time you volunteer

Please take time to review the DHS Food Handlers Manual prior to volunteering your first time.  It can be found at
