Greetings to All,
Here it comes… another year! Have you made your resolutions that you will soon forget? Warning! If you are not a Senior Saint, you will have to read at your own risk. The contents of this article could cause anxiety. Read with extreme caution! An older gentleman said to his wife: “It is so quiet here, now that the goldfish is gone.” In 1910 only 8% of homes had a telephone. Only 14% had a bathtub. How things change over the years. Then the average wage was 22 cents per hour.
This year you may want to know that a shrimp’s heart is in his head. In New Jersey there are 1,134 residents per square mile. In Alaska it is 1. The king Ranch in Texas is bigger than the state of Rhode Island. Ok enough of the serious stuff.
One New Year’s resolution to keep is to spend more time listening and talking to God. He has much to say to us and we to Him. Whatever the New Year brings He will be there. God never changes. Things around us change, we change, but He does not. God truly loves you. When this life is over, we have a wonderful life with Him. Look forward to it.
There will be no Senior Saints luncheon this month. As Maxine and I announced at the Christmas lunch, we will no longer host them. The Outreach board will take charge. Watch for announcements from them. Maxine and I have truly enjoyed the past years in doing this. We thank you for your support.
We pray God will grant you his love and peace in 2015! May He richly bless you!
Happy New Year!
Pastor Rich and Maxine
