Greetings Seniors and all Non-Seniors,
March is loaded with special days: daylight savings begins on March 10th, St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th, spring begins March 20th, Palm Sunday on March 24th, Maundy Thursday the 28th and Good Friday the next day. And – Easter on the 31st. Got it all straight!?
Lent continues this month, but ends with Easter on the last day of the month. I pray this Lenten season is a blessing for you. We reflected on Jesus’s love for us. He suffered and died for our sins. At the cross He paid our debt of sin. When we believe in Him, through the call of the Holy Spirit, we receive eternal life. On Easter we celebrate not only Jesus’ Resurrection, but ours also. May Easter joy be yours!
Seniors – join us for lunch on Friday March 15th. Wear something green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Bring your favorite sack lunch. Desserts and beverages will be provided. That is if you eat all your lunch. Here is a little advice: You don’t stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stopped laughing.
Remember we seniors are more valuable than any of the younger generation. We have silver in our hair, we have gold in our teeth, we have stones in our kidneys and we have lead in our feet.
By the way, if you are concerned about gaining weight: Don’t shampoo your hair in the shower. Most shampoos say: “Adds body to your hair.”
Have a great month. God bless you with His Lenten peace and Easter joy!
