As our 2016-2017 St. Paul Preschool year comes to a close, you may be someone who asks “What did they learn in Preschool this year?”

Declaring and Teaching – Jesus is Lord!

Throughout this year, our preschoolers heard Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments, always with a focus on the love, forgiveness, and care that Jesus has for His little children.

Each month was a Theme that connects the love of Jesus to all parts of the day and to everything the preschoolers do. There are four key areas that help to define a Christian Early Childhood program:

  • Express – language development, including verbal and nonverbal communication.
  • Create – the arts, especially music and visual arts.
  • Explore – discovery, involving science and math readiness.
  • Relate – appreciation of interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships.

At the center is our relationship with Christ Jesus. This all occurs in a Christian context that encourages readiness, age appropriateness, growth, and development. Many activities blend these elements as home, church, and school strive together to nurture curious, happy, well-rounded, growing, and active children of God, who love the Lord and share His love with others!
