It has been a busy month here at the school. We started with back-to-school night which was very well attended.
Our jog-a-thon had the children getting fit for Jesus. Lots of fun running laps and the kids enjoyed the prize store, too.
We had the fire fighters come and share safety tips and dress up in their gear, so we know what to look and listen for in a fire.
The teachers went to the NW district Teacher’s Conference at Seaside. As usual, the classes were good and we were able to come back with some new ideas to use in our classrooms.
Since Halloween fell on a school day we dressed up and had a party. The children did mummy bowling, pin-the-bow-tie on the ghost, wrapping the mummy, and we enjoyed some treats together.
October is Pastor Appreciation (and we appreciate our Pastors) so the children made books, cards, or poems to give to Pastor Don and Pastor Brandt.
The kindergartens are learning about bats and spiders, so beware if you see them!
The third, fourth, and fifth graders went on their annual trip to Franz bakery. They get to see how the bread is made and to eat some, too.
Our first Art Lit class had the kindergarten through fifth graders learning about Art Deco and making neat projects.
