Greetings in Christ Jesus
Welcome to April. One theory is that the name comes from an ancient Roman word that means to open. The fourth month of the year was given the name April, because the buds of leaves and flowers opened.
This month, half is Lent and half is Easter. We celebrate the death of Jesus and the open grave. April is a time to open our hearts to the Risen Savior Jesus. As you watch the buds of flowers and trees open reflect on the tomb opening. Give thanks to God that your grave will open and you will blossom in to a new life in heaven with Jesus.
Maxine and I pray that you have a blessed Lent and a glorious Easter!
In Christ’s Love,
Welcome to April. May it open blessings to you. It is so exciting to see so many seniors coming on Wednesdays. Remember, it’s Pepper Jack. At the Wednesday gatherings you will hear singing of old favorites led by Bill Peters on his guitar. You also will hear laughter as seniors enjoy humor. Laughter is good for our health.
So enjoy a laugh or two from these bulletin bloopers.
Don’t miss Pastor Ted’s moving message tonight at 6.
The outreach committee needs 25 volunteers to call on people who are not afflicted with any church.
Worship Reminder: The congregation is asked to remain seated until the end of the recession.
Our soloist this morning will be Dr. Brown, DDS. He will be singing “Crown Him with Many Crowns”
The Senior choir invites anyone who enjoys sinning to join us right away.
Hope you had a laugh and are healthier now.
